Amazed the Pats got him that cheap, but I know they had very little cap space left. The injuries are going to be a concern but a great deal for New England .Josh McDaniels has never had a QB with Cam's skill set to design plays for.

A waste of money...This guy no longer has what it takes...that cowardly move when he did not go after a fumble DEFINED him for most of the crowd.

No idea of his current health level.
No idea of the Pat's younger-QB development process.
[hey, i shouldn't really be commenting, lol but it's the internet]
He's still very marketable. It's amazing how some (though not all) fans are willing to view him in a new light.
Still chronologically younger than he seems. 31, 32? I used to think that was old!
Some strong points. He's a big horse. Still a talented athlete. Comes off a year freshening.
Has got to be the most hungry, humble, and fun that football has been for him in a few years.
He's not a perfect fit for the most modern evolution of the mobile quarterback, but he can in fact run some of the plays that Lamarr Jackson or Patrick Mahomes have in their packages.

He was a great quarterback a few years ago, for a short time. Now he plays like he doesn't want to be on the field.

If that surgery worked, a steal at the price!

that sounds like Jim Plunkett. he was all washed up with the Patriots, then he went and put on the black and silver uniform and became better than he ever was.

The interesting part is going to watch Cam mentally fall apart from being chastised by Coach Belichick constantly.

It all depends on what type of offense they put in. He can’t do those quick outs and short slants like Brady did. That’s not his thing. If he’s healthy he can throw a good deep ball. But they have no speedy receivers. He better not back away from a fumble here or he’s out.

Not going to be Joe Montana/ Tom Brady.
Pretty much, just play normal, fundamental football. Let field-position, coaching, 'Patriot quality' take it's course.
Mitigate these very fast, aggressive, pash-rushers by mobilizing the pocket just a bit to buy time. Everything else is favorable to offense, these days...
Once in a blue moon, he'll have opportunities to play 'monkey-in-the-middle' with a pass-catcher vs. a linebacker.
