Burke had ten horses in tonight spread out in four divisions. I believe in the final, you can only enter two. He's making some nice money out of this. If I remember correctly, he had a similar situation last year. Plenty of horses in the series, he enters two for the final and then sold one to Mark Ford (at least I believe Mark Ford was the other party). The name of the horse escapes me, as does the sale price, but I don't think the horse was ever that sharp again.

Rumor has it that "next year" the Levy-Series will be renamed to the "Burke-Series"....
With the Burke entries of:
1A
1B
1C
1D
1E
1F
1G
1H...

You are going to post a bunch if you mention every time mark ford buys a horse for big money and then it stinks.

Thank you. Burke isn't too shabby of a businessman.

Maybe, but he'll also post a bunch if he mentions every time someone buys a horse off of Burke, and the horse tanks.

The question then becomes, which horses are for sale? I'd say he'd sell any of them if the price is right, except maybe Foiled Again. What do we make of Sweet Lou? He's not entered this week and hasn't looked very good at all the last two weeks, after a nice qualifier at the Meadowlands.

Foiled Again third in the Levy. I don't really see how he had any excuse. Pretty soft half and his entry mate held up any serious pressure from the outer flow.

Out of Form, is all, imo at least, no matter the wet track and the fractions tonite...Last week he was so bland and this week no different...Still, despite being out of Tip-Top Form, the great ones still get decent checks anyway...Been watching this guy for years, and that is how it is with this one...Wrong time to be going back, is all..

The entrymate wasnt winning and FA struggled to win by a nose 2 back (or was it 3 back)? At that moment, i knew he had lost a step, he was a phenominal bet against tonight, you know, if you were handicapping Yonk and betting the card.

Like a lot of us FA isn't getting any younger. Far as I am concerned neither FA or Ron Burke has anything left to prove. They did it all!!!

You're right. I did not bet him last nor did I bet on the race at all. He wasn't all that sharp in the last week or two of the series. I thought the plan was to skip a leg or two of the series? FA raced in every leg of the series...
