I feel the same way Andy. Everything is better in Saratoga win lose or draw.

If you are looking for luck outside of the Saratoga meet, pour some Seltzer or Pellegrino into a glass, fart into the glass and drink immediately. Maybe that'll bring you good luck.

TLG- enjoy I envy you now and suppose so do a few others on the board.

Looking forward to my annual visit Travers Week.

Spa on Rachel's radar -- Page 1 -- Times Union - Albany NY

Excerpt:

Rachel Alexandra may run at Saratoga after all.

First, though, the 2009 Horse of the Year will be a Jersey Girl on Saturday, running in the $400,000 ungraded Lady's Secret at Monmouth Park.

Officials from the New York Racing Association were irked when Rachel's people gave them the snub. NYRA had hoped to see Rachel run Aug. 4 in the Grade I, $250,000 Ruffian Handicap at the Spa.

After Rachel worked four furlongs in 49.60 seconds Monday morning on the Oklahoma Training Track, trainer Steve Asmussen said Saratoga was still on owner Jess Jackson's radar.

"Absolutely," Asmussen said outside his barn on the Oklahoma following the work. "There is a strong possibility. Jess has indicated the timeline of where he was comfortable running her and that included a race up here."

I grew up close to Clifton Springs, so I love that kind of water, too.
Makes me feel like a kid! I used to go play in the fountain there.

I'd love that water if I had constipation problems, but I must say it is the only thing I don't much care for up there. Only gone a day and I'm having withdrawl aready.

I can't believe anybody could drink that water more than once and live to tell about it.

For all the BSF followers,if the figs hold true and the horse for course rule is in effect, and all races stay on the turf.
You could possibly start the meet out with a bang with an 8-1 ML shot.
