We have to wear a mask to enter a restaurant. Once we get in, we are seated and can take our mask off. So now, everyone in the place is not wearing mask. What sense does that make???? It's indoors and I am sure the ventilation is not sufficient for the capacity.
How many people even wear the mask properly? I would say at least 1 out of every 3 I see has their nose uncovered.
As of now, there are only mandates. Most states have opt out clauses. So, the bottom line is how does it get enforced? Enforcement can NOT be the government picking and choosing who, what, and when. For example, the recent lawsuit about churches in NY.
I want and wish for everyone to be safe. However, there will ALWAYS be those scenarios where people feel they are at higher risk. To those people, I say avoid those scenarios if at all possible. I know if you're in my place of employment, and you notify me of non compliance of social distancing, I politely ask the patrons to please observe the rules. 99% of all people usually comply. For the 1% that don't, I have asked them to leave and not provide service.

What you seem to be missing is the people who don’t follow the guidelines put everyone else at risk. That’s my point.
If we had strong leadership in this country (from both sides) than we wouldn’t be in the dire situation we are in now.

Not missing it at all sir. There are those, in all walks of life, that do what they do. I won't condemn them nor praise them. What I will say, as I did in my post, is to avoid them. Just because some one chose to be careless does not mean that I have to join them in being careless.

Thanks, but rights are not always absolute. Sometimes your right bests mine. Sometimes the rights of the many outweigh those of the few and vice versa.

How would that work?
Is the Fed. Gov. going to make everyone whole who lost their businesses or occupations over this? How exactly are they going to accomplish that magic act?

In this case, isn't it the rights of the few outweighing the rights of the many?

Shelley Luther would disagree. Six figures plus in GoFundMe type of account for legal expenses to fight Dallas city hall, got out of jail because of a governor that understands decency (as opposed to a judge). Her business is safe, and now she's running for office.
You may think cowards win by playing safe, but that's not the American Spirit

an interesting discussion on lockdowns, government overreach and government leaders. Both these guy have relatives that had German numbers and talk about people 'just doing their jobs'. Also one running for city council, but I suspect his numbers are not correct.
