First team to win 30 games. Solid pitching and quality hitting thus far, several years of rebuilding appear to be finally paying dividends. This is a very young team and if they hold together (few teams do) they should only get better.

MLB Network likes asking the question would you rather have the Mets young arms or the Cubs young bats? I think the Astros have the perfect mix of both. I'll take them. Their best prospect isn't even on the big team yet. He will be soon, he's starting to tear up AAA. The Astros have been lucky this year in a way. The AL West isn't very good and they've capitalized. Good for them. Keep it up.

How about the one team that nobody, including the LV oddsmakers give any credit? That would be the Twins. Everyone expected a clear last place finish. They've hit well, and murder left handers. Their bullpen has been solid, and their top prospect, Buxton, hasn't been brought up yet.

The Red Sox were favored in all three of the games from the recently concluded series at Target Field. The Twins swept them.
