Houston Flooding
The city is virtually shutdown. Many locations got up to 11 inches overnight.

I have never seen a night like last night, or a month like I've had since moving to Houston.
5 inches of rain in 1.5 hours last night. It took a break for an hour then we got another 2 inches during the rest of the night.
I've been here almost two months and it has rained at least 3-4 days a week every week.
Some amazing stuff considering the 3 yr drought conditions that Texas has experienced. I think the drought is officially over.
The hail was interesting. Set off all of the motion lighting and cameras around my house.

I live in Schertz which is right outside of San Antonio about 5 minutes from Retama Park. I was at the track Friday afternoon and it was coming down hard. I mean pouring buckets. The satellite feed for the simulcasts was down for about 20 minutes. I've never seen that before.
Thankfully we didn't get it as bad as Houston did but we certainly got hammered with rain. Prayers to the people in Houston and surrounding areas where it was much worse.

Good luck, Ralph. I was there for Alicia and Alison so know what you're dealing with. Just a reminder, those flood waters are filthy there. Try to avoid any of it.

One perspective on the weather.
You are right about the flood waters. they are nasty. Just viewing them from the road........ Wow!

Cibolo Creek can wreak havoc with heavy rainfall.
