Oaklawn, Sam Houston, Turfway, probably some others I haven't seen.

Stay safe, y'all.

We're buried in snow here in OKC, no way Remington is running tonight.

As soon as we finish the foot of ice we're laying down, we will start on the 18 inches of snow.

Don’t be surprised if FG cancels their card at some point today. I’m ten mins away and it’s really bad over here.

Don't have to worry about capping Oaklawn this Friday-Saturday-Sunday

Mahoning surface reportedly far from ready, as repetitive freeze/thaw cycle has not BEGUN to loosen its grip. Challenging issues include BIG rolling mounds-near finish line and ice-rink conditions on far turn and near 6-fur chute.

For whatever reason, just one tractor deployed this morning. Some belief among horsemen that, extreme weather notwithstanding, cost conscious limitations on maintenance measures allowed situation to get needlessly out of hand.

As usually the case when footing goes south at ANY track, competence of track-super called SHARPLY into question. Justified or not, that goes with the territory. In his defense, Austintown exists in snow belt. That's some REAL winter there, baby.

Didn't the Jockey's Guild sign an agreement with the management of many tracks that gives the jockeys the right to have a card canceled if the wind chill is below a certain temperature?

Sad to say but MVR has really gone downhill since the departure of Mark Loewe. I hardly got the chance to know the young lady from Charles Town that replaced him, as I had one foot out the door by then. Carding 6 Furlong races during the Winter has always been a losing battle there. Cost cutting measures to the Racing side of Racinos seems to be a never ending process.
