I can't give you any either... FWIW.

My favorite thing to do when I got back was to give negative rep points. I haven’t been able to either, outside of what I have PA last night.

I mean...this prevents someone from fixating on a particular person...either positively, or negatively. So, in order to be able to give points to Ely again...I went around and gave rep feedback to about 10 other posters...and then returned to Ely. But, when I again tried to give points to Ely...I got the same message telling me to spread around some more points. So, I ask...how much "spreading around" must I do before I can give Ely some much-deserved rep points?

I mentioned this to you a few months back when you were a mod., attempting to add to mostpost and repeatedly got that same message.
Never bothered using "rep" again.

There is no "Show Your Reputation Level" box here for me to un-check.

I don't see that option...hmmmm
But I did learn a few things about reputation that explains how some people get more "pull."
You gain 1 point of "reputation-altering power" for every year registered here
You gain 1 point of "reputation-altering power" for every 1,000 posts you've made
For every 100 points of reputation you have, you gain 1 point of "reputation-altering power"
You need to "spread your rep" around to 20 other users before you can hit the same person twice.
The admins here (myself included) follow the same rules as everyone else when it comes to giving rep points.

JESUS CHRIST! I haven't agreed with 20 different posters in my entire 13 years here.

If you stopped being an AH, you might benefit and get more points!

that 20 included negative points, so you need to give some people so crap when they piss you off.
BUT - remember, don't poke the bear!
