What is the most attractive racetrack in the world you have ever been to?
Which racetrack is the most attractive you have ever been to in the world (probably need roughly what year - as some have 'declined') - including buildings, design, landscaping ......

I'd be hard put to decide between Arlington Park (after the renovation)(late '80's/early '90's), '90's Keeneland, and '70's Santa Anita (the last time I was there).

I am partial to the 70's at Hialeah, I am sure it was nicer before that though.

Keeneland is tough to beat.
For a sidebar: one track whose cleanliness shocked me -- it was spotless -- was El Commandante, which I visited in September 2006.

The view watching a race at Santa Anita is easily best for me. Arlington is tough to beat in the building and cleanliness departments.

Goodwood in England - I went last summer. The view from the top-class grandstand is incredible. You look down into a mostly green valley with nary a structure in sight. It's a right-handed course with a steep climb to the finish line.
Here's a couple pictures from their website that sort of illustrates what I'm trying to say:

Santa Anita, especially when there is snow on
the mountains, absolutely stunning.

Fort Erie, back in the 70's and 80's.
Delaware in the late 80's early 90's.

Santa Anita and Deauville. Sometimes, I also like Goodwood a lot. When the sun is out and it's warm, there's no other place in the world where you really want to be. When it's wet and windy, it's very wet and windy.

It has been closed for many years now, but Madison, Ne had a small track for a while. You could sit on the ground under the trees and get up and walk 30 feet a bet a race. The place had almost no concrete. Most of the place was built on dirt and there was trees and grass everywhere. They ran in September which is a beautiful time of the year to be outdoors in northeastern Nebraska.
