thought this was a horse racing site...
seriously...it was when I signed up....big boss beats his chest about it....he should be proud...20 yrs and ticking
Yet...Breeder's cup is here...4/5 sorta lame threads...all other sites have much more in depth discussion going on....ect...yada, yada yada...
interesting and sad at the same time....
don't shoot the messenger...just a factual observation at this point in time....

Of course it's a horse racing site.
People complaining about a bad beat...by blaming the stews, the jocks, drugs, trainers, track maintenance, ad nauseum.
Sometimes your horse just ****in loses because it's a bum.

There are other sites left?
Coulda fooled me...every time I look, they all are deader than a doornail in terms of action...that is if they still actually exist.

It’s a reflection of how shitty the sport is. That’s it.
Personally the horse racing part is a waste of time. The game is a joke to me.
I play when I go on vacation. I play locally at Sam Houston a few times a year. But I always kick myself for wasting the time....../

If you could bet any track from your home like most of the country can you would. . . . . . . . .
A. Have more interest in racing.
B. Cherry pick only the races you like
C. Visit Sam Houston less
D. All of the above.

D.
But I quit playing hardly at all when I lived in MD except when I went out with CJ’s dad. We had a ball. Traveled to AQU and BEL a few times and played privately in some restaurants (via computer) that Dennis set up for us. We would spend a whole afternoon in a nice restaurant area and sometimes right at the bar. I ran the laptop and the restaurant/bar owners all knew Dennis and they didn’t care at all.
Later that night we would hit his neighborhood bar and cap off the day around midnight. It was only about a ten minute drive from my house on the Bay.

It’s like I am torn. It’s breeders cup day and here I am in GT.
You can’t a bigger horse racing fan than me. I sleep and eat horse racing.
But I also sleep and eat politics.
They are my two advocations.

I think not having (legal) access to ADW has turned a lot of Texas horseplayers into ex-horseplayers.
I also think not having (legal) access to ADW has led to lower handle for Texas tracks and lower purse money for Texas horsemen.

Proving conclusively that idolatry is still alive, well and indeed thriving.

I knew that when I posted it, I gave JR a chance of giving some of us some depth to which he did quite nicely. I would add that the post that started this thread was as bogus as posts get. I suggest that this is a premier horse racing website and is the the prime reason that you as a vendor are here and I enjoy your posts by the way.

nah...but actually the discussions are WAY down on the other sites as well ...probably due to other's thoughts expressed here...
was good to see you post a thread yesterday...unfortunately work has not allowed the time to partake in play a-longs...
will throw out a couple of picks to fade on the horse racing side today...
B.O.L all who still throw out a dime or too...

It seems to me that ... - PA wants to make money from the sire.
- The more traffic on the site the more money he makes.
- If he were to shut down the political and religious threads there would be a lot less traffic.
- Ergo, he would make a lot less money.
But I could be wrong.
