Was it the Horse or the Jockey the Reason Why He Was Unseated?

Sat 02/20 Golden Gate 5th Race appeared to be an easy victory for Pure Comedy with Kyle Frey aboard until about the 1/8 pole he hit him once, then when the jockey turned to the other side, he appeared to lose him momentum and was unseated.

The chart says "he appeared to be taking a commanding lead in the upper stretch when he ducked out under left handed whip and unseated his rider."

I say otherwise, it wasn't the horse, it was the jockey making a terrible mistake.

Any avid race watcher, please tell me what you think.

And besides, why isn't the head on replay available for viewing?

I saw the head on via the inquiry replay. Appears that the horse is already starting to veer to the right then for some reason Frey hits him with the whip on the left and that seals the deal for him and the horse.

Jockey error agreed.

I once owned a horse who ducked out on the lead like that at Monmouth , lucky the jock stayed aboard and rallied back to win.
