114,000+ dead and spreading like wildfire in some states.
But it’s just the flu.
No need to wear masks or social distance.
Those measures are unnecessary.

Social distancing ended when the protests started. You don’t believe me. Take a poll. That’s when the public realized what PA knew in March. It was all a deadly political game. The virus is real. The dying is real. The original need for distancing was real. The co-opting of pandemic for political purposes is also very real and make no mistake, the protests shined a bright light on it.

Social distancing hasn't ended where I live. And I am unsure about this "deadly political game". Who are the "players"?

If it's stupid to think that a pandemic and a protest could occur at the same time without the two being somehow "connected" and spawned by some sinister political groups within our government...then, go ahead and call me "stupid". I need a little more proof before I can safely embrace a conspiracy theory. Yes...I saw that the protesters violated the "social distancing" directives...but I haven't seen any common citizens out there who are using this as an excuse to act recklessly themselves in their day-to-day lives. Where I live...the people are still going around in masks and are keeping a "safe" distance between one-another. Honest.

Watch any of the demonstrations?
Police should have arrested everyoen of them not social distancing, right?
How about Seattle - gross disrespect for masks and distancing - cops should move in on them and save the world, right?
These demonstrators every are putting us all at risk.
And the DEMS are ENCOURAGING them -some even MARHCING with th em.
DNC - threatening the nation and the world.
Remember that on elections day - DEMS ARE OUT TO KILL US ALL!
So far, HCAP has ignore my question to him - which is more important, protesting racism or preventing the spread of COVID?
You guys are joke.

Unfortuntately I do not know what can be done to bring them into line, other than to regulate and inspect better, as any legal means of "forcing improvements" has been removed as an option as of late.

They are inspected bi-annually. Never knew a facility that was ordered to shut down, but penalties can include not being able to accept new patients until things are up to snuff.
When Jeb bush was governor of FL, he put money into nursing facilities so they could add more CNA's. The homes then proceeded to fire office personal and replace them with CNA's. Patient care CNA hours did not increase but the overall CNA hours did. CNA to resident ratios remained low. I've seen CNA's with a 13 resident workload, of which at least 8 were total care. Four got a shower, the total cares need to be toileted every 2 hours and fed, changed if they were incontinent, and put to bed. Day crew does the same with the exception of getting the residents up.
Government did a study in the 90's that stated a CNA should have no more than a 4 resident assignment for the resident to get proper care. The study determined this was not cost effective and buried it for more study.
I am a retired LPN and worked agency as a hired gun. During a ten year stretch, I worked in just about facility in Floridas Pinellas county and Pasco County . Also did my fair share here in Massachusetts and the industry is pretty much the same here. They are all in the elderly care business to make money.
