Ramon The Great

Ramon is a good rider, but not as good as some people in this forum think he proved again today how inept he can be w/ his ride on Zagora in the 6th, siting on the best horse in the race by a pole lets the leader get away w/ 26 52 --117 and then excepts to catch him, no excuse just a lousy ride.

she's not as good as him now, but in a few years she will be just as good, ANNA NAPRAVNIK.

what is great about dominguez is he has a great agent, and ramon does his homework on every race. when he has choices in a race steve usually puts him on the right horse. occasionally he owes somone a favor or is committed and rides the not so good horse.put that all together with his physical abilities and you now have a great rider.

Ridiculous thread. Every rider has a bad race or makes a move from time to time that looks bad in hindsight.

Agree with lambo.. Anna is going to be an all-time legend in this game before it's all said and done.

I would watch the race again and look at the past performances again. I actually think Ramon gave the horse a good ride. In turf routes sometimes the positioning can be tricky as far as pace. The horse who chased the pace, couldn't hold second and he beat the winner last time.If Ramon was closer he probably wouldn't have been second.

Ramon is solid and pretty consistent, but he'd never be jockey of the year if he was riding in California. Gareth Gomez and Mike Smith are way better than he is.

Only the overconfident R.Dominguez could lose on on that horse yesterday if I were the owner I'll make him make up the difference in purse money, in Europe he'll probably get days for a ride like that, the one good thing about R.D is that if you like another horse in a race he is riding in you get better odds.

To put Paco Lopez on that list is laughable. He is a good young jock but his over aggressive rides will keep him off the national go to list of jocks for major stakes. If he can cut back on the aggressiveness and avoid suspensions, I can see him as an Eclipse finalist down the road.

Every jock makes mistakes, no one is perfect. In my opinion, if Ramon was able to cut the curner better when turning for home, he would have won with Zagora. But it didn't happen and lets give Rajiov credit for stealing it on the frotn end with Giants Play. Also, Ramon isn't the only one to blame, how about rest of the field for allowing Rajiv to steal it.

R.D was on the best horse he let R.V steal it, he gave the horse a brutal ride.
