Excellent book with very helpful information on playing and planning for big days of racing. I give it five stars.

I have an angle to add to the book
Smash any second time starter that ships to CD on Derby day, that is trained by Avilla and looks to have been given 1 in his/her 1st start in Cali

I saw that advertised before the Derby, but couldn't find it anywhere.
Thanks for the head's up.

I read him every week in the Las Vegas publication "Gaming Today". I believe he also gives seminars at some of the casinos on Big Race Days.

I haven't seen it, but if Davidowitz wrote it, it has to be useful, in my opinion.

Here's the link to the thread about his effort to write a book on his youth, raising funds on Kickstarter - from several years ago now. Some interesting comments on Davidowitz, along with the usual PA banter.

I'm a fan of his handicapping books. I've ordered a copy of "Cashing Big" and will provide a review once I get it.

If its the one I am thinking of, its a small free newspaper that you can find in some ( maybe all ? ) of the sports/race books in town. It comes out, or used to come out either on Tues or Weds?, I would grab it from time to time at Sunset Station. Usually has a page dedicated to horse racing including a " horses to watch " section. The paper itself talked about gaming overall, both in vegas and around the country/world. Sections about keno, poker, slots etc.

Here's the link to Davidowitz's articles on Gaming Today. During football season, I download their weekly mag in PDF format. Good content on the Vegas scene.

If the info in the book is so great, why is it for sale at that price? Would it not cause his roi on the plays to go down? I subscribed to his site grade one racing and felt ripped off in the end and won't give him another penny.

HAHAHA!!!
Steve Davidowitz is an ambassador of the game. I doubt he puts his ROI ahead of any help he can provide for the game as a whole.
