in that race there were 2 horses that came out of the same Aqueduct race, the winner which you had, and the horse i played which ran third. i wish i paid attention to your program because that race was something like 99% that it was going to be one of those 2 horses.

GERALD BENNETT DAY @ TAMPA 12-08
Most trainers have one, or maybe two things they do well, and are profitable at it. Be it coming off layoff-1st off claim, sprint-to-route...on and on.
Mr Gerald Bennett's thing is SHIPPERS. Obviously he doesn't play games with this maneuver...he ships his charges where they can win. Today at Tampa, Bennett has 6 horses entered--6 SHIPPERS entered, anyway.
Here's an opportunity to profit from information not every bettor has--or is aware of...or even cares. How can we profit from Mr Bennett's largesse? One of the two he has entered in the 7th may scratch out, leaving us with 3 to bet. If they both go, an exacta may be the way to go, here... alongside win bets on the all but the two shorter priced ML entries.
We should be okay with that strategy--with a decent chance to score.
Good luck,
-NCG

be careful Greg....
with Tampa just opening , aren't most horses shipping from somewhere?
I'd look at PP's and see if horses had good races at Tampa...
sneaky trainers might use last race as a prep to the big score also
like I always say...READ THE PP's!!

MD 2ND TIME STARTER @ TAMPA
Read the pp's? Interesting concept--I'll have to try that.
Win or lose...this horse is exactly what you look for in a Maiden 2nd Time Starter. Early 1/2 blowout prep, followed by a class drop -Doubt the 10-1 ML will hold up, though. Connections look capable:

Here's the Top Platinum Power for MNR tonight. If I had played these...would have won tonight's Horse Tourney contest.
But noooooo... I had to get innovative--since the ML's on these didn't indicate much chance against the "stabbers" and "dart-throwers" that are always here.
I didn't cash:
Interesting the only loser on the list was the lowest ML pick

speed demons
thought I would give the "trainer spot play" a shot at Oaklawn (where I never make any money).
After the first 4 racing days, betting any trainer spot play that is >3/1 at post time, I have
18 bets
$36 wagered
4 wins
$52.40 returned

That Trainer ANGLE SPOT PLAY is turning out to be very useful. I've been experimenting with different ways to improve the strike rate--if not ROI, also.
I see a huge longshot already won the 1st at GPX--here's my "refined" Trainer Angles for GPX today:

as always you ROI improves on these when you throw out all the short priced horses and just bet the rest.

This is true Mike...and I'm all for making handicapping as easy as possible.
Here's the SPEED DEMONS Trainer Angles for AQ today--the 2 horses in the 7th meet my requirements for play. Yesterday's "refined" picks went 2 for 9...near break-even return.
And while we are looking at AQ...check out the "EASY MONEY". The goal is 40% winners. Most are well-bet...so a 40% strike rate should insure a profit (you would hope). All these horses pass my elimination rule:
