i went into the Derby thinking he was the best horse in it. i came out of the Derby knowing he WAS the best horse to the race. he drew the wrong part of that track, even though the eventual winner came up the inside. the horse had 3 moves before he wrapped up with no chance. my guess is that Pletcher will sit out the Preakness and wait to get the money in the Belmont.
bottom line here is i had one winner on my ticket and the ticket got ripped up.

I feel you. I had a Pick-4 with Epicenter as the single and had half the field in the 1st leg (9th race) except the winner. So much for the other three legs. But the kicker is I thought I finally had hit at least the Derby trifecta when they approached the 8th pole. I ended up having the 2nd through 6th place finishers in my exotics. Who would have thought a one-win claimer could win such a prestigious race? Well,a perfect scenario for such a run happened when it was thought that the new points system eliminated it.
