What happens if I use my ADW in Nevada?

I mean, what if I just press that I'm in California, even if I'm in Nevada. Will it still work?

Im pretty sure they check by the ip address. If your in Nevada they will see this by your isp, unless your super close to the cal. state line. I don't think an adw would risk getting sanctioned for allowing someone in a non wagering state to wager while there.

i have been going to Monmouth for the Haskell every year and i have had no problem at all betting with 4 different adw's. i don't know what Nevada brings though.

the only place that i have ever been blocked was when i went to Gulfstream. i was using their Wi-Fi and i could use all my adw's except for Twinspires. i asked and they told me they had a block on it. in Tampa Bay Downs i did not encounter that problem

They come and get you and lock you in a claustrophobic padded cell and force you to listen to Richard Grunder and Mike Battaglia until your ears bleed.

He's talking about Nevada, though.
It could be Harry Reid.......

You have an ADW that takes you from California?

No rebates, right?

It depends on your ADW - yours asks you what state you are in?
Does this happen everytime logging in? or just when somewhere different from your usual location?

I use TVG, maybe it's not an ADW? Whatever it's called, it asks me what state I'm in at log in.

You shall be brought to the town square in leg irons. Placed in stocks and flogged with a bull whip.

A good friend of mine was using a Texas address for his Twinspires account while living in Nevada. He was able to wager without a problem until Texas changed their law regarding wagering through ADW's. He always chose Texas as the state when logging in. Now he has to wager through an offshore account.

One time I was travelling through the Carolinas and if I remember correctly the state blocked me from accessing my account. I think it looked similar what they put up on full tilt poker when the government shut them down.

I use 3 ADWs - TwinSpires, Xpressbet, and TVG.
I live in California. Only TVG asks at every sign-in where you are currently located.
They obviously don't check IP addresses,
as I have placed wagers online in multiple states, and countries, while travelling.
As far as Nevada goes, I have made hundreds, or thousands, of bets through ADWs online there. Never a problem.

Legal online bookmakers in Europe track IP addresses through their software.
They will not do business with U.S. residents, and I believe that their customers run into problems if visiting here and try to place a wager through their existing account. I don't know if they can get around that, or not.
U.S. ADWs could, obviously, have similar software if they cared to.
As of now, this is not the case.

Depends on the ADW. Some lock out identifiable internet addresses by state, others don't. Some are more interested in where you live, not where you are at one given time. If you log in a few times from Nevada, that's fine but if you've done it for months, they assume you moved there, and they'll lock you out.
