The treatments have left him severely Immunocompromised. He got both shots of the Pfizer vaccine, but when tested for the antibodies, there were none. The same thing happened with Moderna.......

That's a great point. Having comorbidities made Powell no different than the overwhelming majority of people who have died with Covid.

With the compromised immune system, Powell could have died from just about anything. A bad cold could have been fatal.

That was the height of his popularity...unfortunately as the public found out he was an establishment figure and hated by both the left and right.

No man is without "sin," and Colin Powell was not an exception, even during his, for the most part, exemplary military career.

During his time in Vietnam, as told to me by a Green Barret, Silver Star recipient who served along with Colin Powell in Vietnam, politics reared its ugly head, from time to time.

Battle reports were written after every operation, and if the report was not to the liking of some of the superiors (Powell being one of them) the report was changed to reflect a more favorable impression of the commanding officer. From this soldiers personal experience, Powell did precisely that. A factual report was submitted, and when Powell reviewed it, he said: "That is not what happened." He rewrote the report to his liking, and it was sent back to the soldier to sign. The soldier said: "But sir, that is not what happened."

It didn't matter...and it was understood that you don't buck a commanding office, lest the potential of suffering dire consequences, which did happen. The thought of "promotions" did matter!

Rest in peace, Mr. Powell.

There is a little bit of liar in all of us would you not agree?

General Powell was a gem compared to the incompetents that are running and delibritely destroying our government today.

When your lies directly cause the violent death of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, including women and children, then you forfeit your membership to the human race...IMO. Powell's shameless behavior stretches all the way back to the Vietnam days...and today I hope that Boxcar's religious opinions are valid. Because if they are...then, as of today...the population of hell has surely increased by one.

UNFORTUNATELY that is true. The good soldier just followed the orders of his superiors.

Vietnam War

Captain Powell served a tour in Vietnam as a South Vietnamese Army (ARVN) advisor from 1962 to 1963. While on patrol in a Viet Cong-held area, he was wounded by stepping on a punji stake.[28] The large infection made it difficult for him to walk, and caused his foot to swell for a short time, shortening his first tour.[citation needed]

Powell returned to Vietnam as a major in 1968, serving as assistant chief of staff of operations for the 23rd (Americal) Infantry Division. During the second tour in Vietnam he was decorated with the Soldier's Medal for bravery after he survived a helicopter crash and single-handedly rescued three others, including division commander Major General Charles M. Gettys, from the burning wreckage.[27][29]

Powell was charged with investigating a detailed letter by 11th Light Infantry Brigade soldier Tom Glen, which backed up rumored allegations of the My Lai Massacre. He wrote: "In direct refutation of this portrayal is the fact that relations between American soldiers and the Vietnamese people are excellent." Later, Powell's assessment would be described as whitewashing the news of the massacre, and questions would continue to remain undisclosed to the public. In May 2004, Powell said to television and radio host Larry King, "I was in a unit that was responsible for My Lai. I got there after My Lai happened. So, in war, these sorts of horrible things happen every now and again, but they are still to be deplored."[30]

Again, he died of old age. Isn't 84 around life expectancy nowadays? COVID is the scapegoat and catch all.

You guys are absolutely hilarious.

It's like you and mostpost have ZERO shame.

This is how the USA devolved into the shithole that it is today.

quote: On February 5, 2003, Powell appeared before the UN to prove the urgency to engage a war with Iraq. In 2016, Powell would say, "[A]t the time I gave the speech on Feb. 5, the president had already made this decision for military action." Powell was selected to deliver the speech based on his credibility, and Powell stated in 2016 that it had been written by the vice president's office:

The speech supposedly had been prepared in the White House in the NSC [National Security Council]. But when we were given what had been prepared, it was totally inadequate, and we couldn’t track anything in it. When I asked Condi Rice, the national security advisor, where did this come from, it turns out the vice president’s office had written it.
