Did it matter if he scored and gave Chiefs a 10 point lead with a minute to go...


To me , he didn't look like himself the whole game


This game had blowout all over it ...


But failed to have an easy cover

Usually not a conspiracy theorist when it comes to the NFL, but that SNF game smelled.

Books were getting killed on the late games with all the favorites covering...Cowboys, Chargers, Niners and Chiefs up big early. Plenty of parlays wrapped up in those same games as well.

Mahomes suddenly throwing INTs

Face mask in the end zone for a safety that shouldn't have been.

Horse collar penalty that wasn't when a face mask on the offensive player was clear as day.

Kelce disappearing from Chiefs offense.

Unusual line movement also point to the fact that something was up with that game. Sportsbooks all say they were heavy on the Chiefs but the line went the other way. Something doesn't smell right here.

You have got to be kidding me, and my opinion is not based on the fact I had KC on my parlay as a money line bet. When Patrick took that slide it ended the game and I was thinking of those that laid the 8.5 or 9. He did the right thing, you never know what can happen if the game is extended, including a player getting injured. If someone did suffer a tough beat, think about the next time you won by a nose.

Of course I cannot recall the games but I have seen a player score a TD when his team was up 1 point, with plenty of time left, but with the other team out of time outs. If he laid down after making a first down it would have been 3 kneel downs, and game over. The guy scores and they go up 8. The other team goes down he field quickly gets the 2 pointer, send it to overtime and wins in OT. Mahomes shows he is smart and well coached. What does he make $50 mil a year? Like he gives a rats ass about a point spread.

I've seen those type plays as well, on defense it's the same as a DB intercepting a pass late in a game and rather than trying to run it back for a TD they give themselves up rather than risk the possibility of a fumble.

Mahomes made the right decision but it doesn't explain some of the other irrational play and officiating that led up to it.

I am sure all of us are guilty at one time or another of critiquing coaching and player decisions based on our wagers. If I had laid the points on KC, I probably would have been yelling obscenities at Mahomes for sliding.

I honestly was never a referee in the NFL or a significant illigal bookmaker, but the few things out of millions/billions that I have any competence in, in this existence on this planet are full of human beings and it's made me believe that a healthy apprehension is a healthy thing.

maybe everything else is angelic, and the few things in this world that I'm not average or much worse at are completely angelic?


I believe that you should demand to understand line-movement/odds etc... before you wager anything serious (or anything at all that you don't consider an entertainment vice).

I believe that even if you think you understand wager on sports or racing that you should build a little extra into your margin for safety and demand a really attractive price for yourself.

If things are angelic, and i'm wrong, maybe my opinion will cost you some churn in favor of a higher ROI?
