Health care is PROVINCIALLY managed NOT federally.

Her choice. I 've met dozens of patients with inoperable conditions that were in excruciating pain who would have opted FOR THE SAME THING.

I continue to laugh out loud at thee American's understanding of their neighbor average to the north.
Just about all this prevarication as their health care SYSTEMS (10 provincial plans not single one Federal)
Of course this is an old PLOy. I recall listening to "little" Ronnie Reagan talk about the DANGERS of socialized medicine way back in the 60's. It was a lie then, it is still a lie.
I worked with MSP (medical Service Plan of BC) for over 35 years and was covered under (OHIP Ontario Hospital Insurance Plan) and NEVER, not once say a single case of denial of care.. I NEVER ONCE had to wail more than a week to get appointments (it was harder to see my dentist than my very capable family doctor)
And choosing a apocryphal, non documented case in a population of almost 39 million and then not telling WHERE this happened adds to the Bull Shipt quotient I hve been hearing fro years from totally IGNORANT sources.

I am disgusted with this incompetent asshole.
Most hated black-faced leader in our history. I hope he euthanizes ASAP!

Don’t soft sell your inaccurate point. SHE WANTED TO SEE A DOCTOR BUT GAVE UP AND “OPTED” AFTER REALIZING SHE WAS NOT GOING TO GET HELP IN TIME TO EXTEND HER LIFE BEYOND THE SUFFERING TERRIBLE END

i really don't know to much about healthcare in Canada or the Canadian system, but you can save your time and travel money and stay here and get the same bad drugs and incompetent doctors within these 50 states.

Not my experience at all.
My wife has had $1m+ in surgeries these past few years.
We're out of pocket a total of just over $3k.
As for competency, there are plenty of such doctors. I do admit that they are not just laying about.
They must be searched for.

I get healthcare thru the VA and have no complaints. I've heard all the stories on how the VA system sucks, usually from people who have never experienced VA healthcare.

I had one bad experience taking an elderly friend to the VA, but it was one incident, after I raised a stink he got better care.

Hi Dave
Many years ago you posted on health care plans and the pros and cons on all that stuff and Medigap coverages etc. I saved that , thank you for that. I am taking your advice. I am at that time in life

Being a Canadian, and living in Ontario, I have come to the conclusion, there is nothing wrong with the health care system until you need. I am currently suffering from carpal tunnel in both hands. It has taken over a month to. Eat an appointment with a specialist. I am slated to see one on Jan 4th. To see a shoulder specialist, to just get an appointment it is 2-3 months. Still waiting for that call. Which is disgusting. I have pain through out the night in my hands, whereby in the morning it takes 45 minutes for me to start to get some feeling in them. Shoulder pain is unbearable in both shoulders. All I know, is if I pitched for the Blue Jays, the shoulder pain would have been looked at within 72 hrs. Just sad, when you can afford to pay for private health care, and can’t get it. Good thing I pay between both levels of government 53.66% in personal taxes off of each pay check to pay for everyone else. When you need it most, you get shoved into the queue and have to wait.
