Chavin's wife is divorcing him; says her sympathies lie with Floyd.
If this isn't a blatant attempt to protect assets, once divorced, he's no longer protected by spousal privilege, and she can testify against him.
Maybe he's sat on her neck a few times or something.

Protect assets?
He was a low level civil servant, most likely with a mortgage to pay.
His pension is toast.
She will most likely lose her house to foreclosure.
She has to get a new start and she's smart to start now.

We've had riots before...we'll have riots again...
It makes for good TV...gets people all riled up and fearful (hmmmm....I'm noticing a trend here lately)....
But it will end as it always does...nothing really gets accomplished...everyone will lament what was lost to the riots...how senseless it all was to wreck stuff in your own community...blah blah blah...
Been there...done that....next crisis please.
