Jason,

I have been watching the virtual races but i do not understand how they calculate the stars. Could you get us a more precise definition.

Please gate school the 9 horse.

Sorry, but in my opinion, if you are going to play these types of races, you're just one step away from playing slot machines (which have a better payout per play).

When the industry tries to explain the need for horse racing's onerous takeout...they emphasize the high operational costs associated with the game. And now that the game has been put on hold, with the "operational expenses" kept to a minimum...how do we explain Virtual Racing's 22% takeout requirement? Are the ADWs trying to determine if there really is a "sucker born every minute"?

On the star ranking, sorry but I don't have a more precise definition other than it marks the proportion of finishes for last 6 races. There can be more than 6 stars if needed to show correct proportions.

Honestly I've been a bit surprised by how much interest we've gotten on the product so far even with fairly small pools. Should be very interesting once more ADWs bring it on.

They are also looking at takeouts and the WIN takeout at least should come down at some point, not sure about others, timing or to what amount.

I have looked up some of the races after the fact and the stars do not seem to align with the actual horses pps. I question how fairly they are derived.

This would make a good topic for a Letter to the Editor at DRF.

I am literally stunned by a 22% takeout on this product. That is just absurd.

The feedback on takeout was given to the host. Also, I have not been able to find any issues with the star rankings. If you see one please email or PM me the details.

So far I've been surprised by the handle on it over and over. The virtual products are handling more than some of the current US tracks.

I think once the bigger ADWs come on board and takeout is lowered a bit this will end up growing quite a lot.

I just watched the 7th which was revealed as the 9th on 2/1/15. I pulled up the pps for that day and can not get any of stars to be as shown on the screen.

It would be useful if you could post the pps for that race and demo how the stars are derived.

Its a slot machine with double the takeout. This is the most degenerate thing you can play.
