Chris Wallace leaves Fox News after 18 years
My guess is that his ratings were getting worse and worse. He couldn't hide his partisanship on a show that was supposed to be straight news.

"Oh Chris, how can you stay at a network that employs Tucker Carlson...you're soiling your father's great name and your own reputation at the same time...do you forever want to be known as the Wallace who stayed at the pro-Trump, anti-Vax, racist network???? Chris???"

No one is perfect.
In my opinion, Chris Wallace was for the most part fair when he interviewed politicians from both sides of the aisle.
He asked tough pertinent questions to politicians independent of their party loyalties. In that regard, he was an equal opportunity "toes to the fire roaster."
Unlike many broadcasters today, Chris knew that he was not the story and kept the focus on the person he was interviewing.
Bash him as you may, I see him as a classy intelligent guy and wish him well.
