R4

Another garbage race.
Horses that have never done anything and probably never will.
Starter allowances are on my never bet list.

Hot dog time!
Steller card so far.

Well it's certainly not a fashion statement, I'm sure he has some eye issue with bright sun light.

Man, there sure are some interesting uses of speed horses in NY, especially on the turf. Makes it very difficult to handicap.

They should just start them at the top of the stretch and be done with it.

Really fed up with the "snatch and grab" technique.

Wait for Aqueduct. I'm not a fan of him at Belmont.

Break 'em out, snatch 'em back, block 'em in, herd them out, RAWHIDE!

Rowdy Yates is 3 pounds over in the 6th.

Keen Ice....

Let's be honest...kudos to Belmont for trying to put on another big day. Racing is doomed. You got Chad Brown running 1-3 in the filly stake and Keen Ice?

This is just really bad racing and no amount of money you throw at these horses will make it better.

Lone bright spot of the entire year is Mind Your Biscuits. How can you not love him?

It was a very underwhelming card IMHO.

This was kind of an odd day where a very casual fan with a program, would have out-performed a handicapper.

It is tough. You get excited for the big cards when you hear the race names but in the end they turn out to be chalk parades for the most part. They are great for the "fans" but not so much for bettors.

I have been looking at ever race the last two weeks and I just am having a hard time saying that this racing is much better, if any, than southern cal. For sure the turf racing is better but the races are often dominated by a few barns on the turf....and the dirt racing is just bad, when they do run which feels like 3 or 4 races out of 9.

I am sure Saratoga will be better because so many ship in for that meet but this Belmont meet is not good.

So what chalk parade are you referring to? Were you even following today's Belmont card?

Only 3 favorites in 11 races won. And every one of them deserved to be solid favorites.
