Not justifying what happened in any way, but in the case of mistaken addresses in the heat of the moment...even seasoned law enforcement professionals acting LEGITIMATELY have made this costly error...

That’s why you want law enforcement with experience and the not panic police.
This guy had no experience.
Just lead his crew to the wrong address.
Harassed perfectly innocent people. Who were prolly scared shitless.
If I see armed people at my front door.....
My first and only reaction is to say what the hell.....

There’s video out today showing them walking briskly through the neighborhood asking all homeowners on the street /porches if they’ve seen the girl. U can google that.
But more importantly, this diagram shows where they parked and the paths they took while checking the Neighborhood.
Clearly they were not targeting the black guys house.

And they engaged with another LEO who lived nearby
A woman who lives a few houses down is a former police officer who had worked for a law enforcement agency in the region, and confronted the uniformed man after recognizing the detention uniform.
The former officer went to take her trash cans to the curb upon seeing cars arrive and the ensuing commotion on the street, to get a better view of what was taking place. She talked to an armed man wearing a uniform who reluctantly identified himself as J.T. Kita.
“[The former officer] told them they needed to slow down because we all look out for each other and our neighbors are going to notice their erratic driving and loud yelling,” Estes said. “He then rests his hand on his holster and asked [her] if she knew a boy named Josiah.”
When she answered that she had not, Estes said Kita got back into the Dodge Charger they had arrived in, along with three other individuals, and drove off quickly.

It seemed odd to me that someone just happened taking a video of the shooting. It will be interesting to hear the full story.
Who made the decision to release this video publicly and why wasn't it released sooner?
Was the Ahmaud Arbery shooting recorded on video to protect the shooters or was the video withheld because it is incriminating?

This.
What’s odd about the video is it’s matter-of-factness.
I’ve come to believe that Arbery was more than just an innocent jogger as portrayed by the family attorney but didn’t deserve to die. I believe he’d still be alive if he hadn’t grabbed the shotgun. The son panicked.

I thought I'd heard that he'd been shot prior to going for the gun.

He’d also be alive if he wasn’t hunted down like a dog by armed perps.

the CDC at one time felt death by gunshot / lead poisoning could be prevented
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/s...ty/firearm.htm
the person who took the frequently seen video has now also been charged with murder

Is it your belief their intent was to kill him?

Discharging a shotgun doesn’t seem like intent?
Why bring arms to a hunt if you don’t intend to use them if necessary.
There was intent. 100%
