Breeders Cup Saturday Chatter
With so many selection and discussion threads going on today, it's hard to follow along.
Maybe we consolidate into one thread? Open to selections, handicapping analysis, whatever...??
We used to go to the War Room on big days but that has kind of faded away. I would be willing to do that if others would like to join.

Is it too late to say I made a small win bet too?

Was kind of looking forward to starting the day with a little try at Noholdingback Bear in the 2yo sprint in the 2nd with the 15-1 M/L. But, he has opened at 4-1, right in range of most of the other obvious contenders and don't think I can get too excited about his realistic chances at that price. If we get up around 8-1 or better, I might start to see him as the one that perhaps can settle in early and give us an idea of just how easily he won the debut.

Kee Race 2:
Top choice is the who should get a nice outside stalking trip behind a fast pace.
Both Ward runners are dangerous and the may just blitz this field.
EX:

WIN:
(the is a sneaky longshot who can grab a slice if things fall apart, 25-1 is a huge price)

The closer to beat in this race coming up is clearly the
However, I am mesmerized by the artificial Woodbine shipper and his big number on TFUS...at 7/2-4/1 currently he's worth a bet, and in fact, the only horse worth a bet on my line...
I'm on the in this one, and trying to get back yesterday's cash in the process.

Race 3 - Juvenile Fillies
The price on Songbird is ridiculous...I will look for value with the Dothraki Queen, currently at 22-1.
Presuming the chalk just rolls out and dusts this bunch, I see the stretch out sprinters ( Rachel & Tap To It) maybe moving too soon to chase and Dothraki makes the last move to get a piece of the exacta.
TRI
w w ALL
EX
w
w (in case the chalk falters badly)
WIN
(note a potent angle in play regarding the #9...Pletcher stretching out in a GrStks race...see Danza in the ArkDby and Sweet Whiskey in the Acorn who got 2nd at over 30-1)

You might want to rethink this one as I also saw her as a filly that might be worth playing in this spot.
I'll probably pass unless I get inspired with creativity, but Rachel's Valentina really impressed me last time visually. Just a grit factor in that win. And thought she did it in such a way that made me think she'd only be more comfortable going longer.
But I don't think she'll stick at 5-1, which is probably about the lowest return that would get me to make a real play.

Right There - Was rank early and blew the first turn in her last. She figured it out on the back stretch and I think that should move her up big in this one. If she can pick up a spot in the exotics with the chalk, it should actually make the payoffs fairly healthy.
