How to Play
As with previous years, there will be a new Thread created for each Contest day (i.e. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays).
First read the Rules. Then go to the current day Contest Thread and make your selections per the sample shown in Rule 6.
No need to sign up anywhere - just show up!
If you're interested in how it looked last year, go to that Contest Forum here ( http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/f...play.php?f=104), scroll to the bottom to the Display Options section at the lower left and change the ' From the' box to Beginning, then click Show Threads. This displays ALL Contest Days from last year's contest. Just browse through a few of them to get a feel of how players made their posts.
Good luck!
Ted

12/03/2016
It was just mentioned on the NYRA website that today ( Saturday, 12/03/2016) is the last race day on the main dirt track.
So it sounds like we will have two weekends of racing on the Inner track before NYRA shuts down for the Christmas Holiday. ( Dec 19th thru Dec 28th 2016)
Any questions that arise during the contest, should be directed to davew, or myself. If we can not answer your question, we will submit it to our Sponsor Leader, Ted Craven, or Pace Advantage ( Mike) website owner.
Good Luck to all that are competing in the RDSS 2017 Ridersup Memorial Aqueduct Inner Track Challenge.

So tomorrow's AQU races are running on the Inner surface? Lots of notice for that, then ...
Our Contest still starts NEXT Saturday, not tomorrow. Too little notice to everyone, too little time to sharpen the pencils.
Thanks for everything Larry and Dave - the contest runs again this year because you guys said YES!

Aqueduct Inner Track Racing starts on Wednesday 12/7/2016. The FIRST sponsored RDSS Ridersup Memorial Aqueduct Inner Track Challenge contest is scheduled on Saturday 12/10/2016. That gives us three racing days on the Inner Track to see how the track surface is "playing".
Temporary Schedule ( weather permitting )
1st day will be Saturday 12/10/2016
2nd day will be Sunday 12/11/2016
3rd day will be Saturday 12/17/2016
4th day will be Sunday 12/18/2016
Holiday Break - > December 19th, 2016 thru December 28th, 2016
Then,
The RDSS Ridersup Memorial Aqueduct Inner Track Challenge will continue every weekend that Aqueduct holds live racing and as davew mentioned, also on Holidays that Aqueduct has live racing.
Join in on the fun and maybe Win one of the Prizes the Sponsor has so generously put up for this Annual Contest on Pace Advantage.

Please note: Contest Rule #8 regarding Scratches has been amended/clarified: 8. In the event of scratches, the affected horse(s) will be replaced by the Post Time Favorite. Should one of those selections involve any entry, you will receive replacement of the Post Time Favorite ONLY if all runners associated with that entry are scratched. Otherwise, you will have action with the other horses associated with that entry that DO run. Equibase and/or Daily Racing Form results chart payout numbers shall serve as the basis for determining winning tickets. Despite any reporting by Equibase/DRF of scratched horses constituting valid winning numbers in any Leg, scratched horses will only be considered winning if the Post Time Favorite wins, and then only if the Contest post is timestamped BEFORE the horse is scratched according to the timestamp in the Equibase Changes Page. In other words, you can’t include a horse in your tickets which is KNOWN to be scratched - just like in real life! The Equibase Changes Page for Aqueduct will be the Official source of timestamps for all scratches: http://www.equibase.com/static/late...gesAQU-USA.html. In the event of multiple timestamps for a scratched horse (i.e. reasons for the scratch being added) - the earliest scratch timestamp will be used.
Simply put, the text in bold ( and red) says: You can't include in your tickets a horse which is known to be scratched - just like in real life! The Equibase Changes Page will be the definitive source for timestamp of when a horse is scratched. Contest Management will endeavor to put up a list of scratches before each Pick 4 wager, but please take the time to check published scratches BEFORE you make your Contest posting.
If you make your Contest posting BEFORE a horse is scratched, that scratched horse gets you get the Post Time Favorite. You can still edit your post, or repost before your Pick 4 goes off to change your selections re scratches (or anything else). See Rule #7

An interesting effect of the $5000 cap on Pick 4 payouts is -- tickets like the following, which contain several singles at a high unit price (e.g. $100) become ineffective if the $1 payout is greater than $50 (100 x $50 = $5000). The effect of the high unit per ticket is wasted in most cases (a majority of Pick4s pay more than $50 for $1 or $25 for $.50). $100 --> 7 // 3 // 2 // 1,2 ($200)
Total = $200
A better strategy is to spread out a bit more in more legs with a lower ticket unit.

Saturday 12/17/2016 ~
Just a heads up players - the weather here in the Northeast is brutally cold. NYRA did not hold live racing on Thursday 12/15/16... and Friday's card could be cancelled also.
Friday night into Saturday calling for perspiration of some type depending on temperature.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Is it really going to be hot enough to sweat?

There is a 50 - 50 chance that I will not be able to post the scratches for Saturday 12/17/2016
So here is the link
http://www.equibase.com/static/latec...techanges.html
Click on Aqueduct
Hopefully, it will automatically bring up the correct date 12/17/2016 ...
