Race 3
Desolator (4-1) June 20 Race 3 Gattellaro was taking the blinkers back off after a dreadful performance last October while running in a restricted overnight stakes race on the turf. Was bet down to the 4-1 third choice at post time, was two wide racing in the rear chasing the betting favourite who got away from jockey Kimura in the turn and eventually stopped early in the stretch. Entering the lane he was 2 lengths just behind the eventual winner Wedgewood $11.20, finished well in the short stretch while just being able to shorten the margin at the wire, galloped out past the wire very well.
Race 7
Olympic Runner (4-1) June 11 Race 7... Won two of his last three just before the break with one an overnight stakes while doing it under a hand ride. Casse was bringing him back after the winter break on the turf where he hasn't shown all that much of an appreciation for in the three races on it. Was taken back as soon as the gates opened while the eventual winner was allowed to take control of the early pace and slowed it to a walk early on the backside. Early in the first turn he lost a length when Miracle Silver came over on to him forcing Kimura to grab his mouth. After entering the stretch in the three path he continued his run all the way to the wire and just ran out of room while gaining on the favourite winner.
Executive Search (10-1) June 21 Race 9 Ran a game second to a betting favourite first time runner who came back and won his next race last October. He was a little unlucky at the draw getting the 10 post with a very short run to the turn in his first go this year as the 8/5 post time favourite. He broke well but there were three underneath him that also wanted to lead the pack early on forcing him to make the turn in the four path, after the turn he had taken the lead entering the stretch but was immediately engaged on his outside and quickly gave way and was hand ridden to the wire afterwards.
Gorgeous Kitten (10-1) June 19 Race 8 Most of his wins have been on the turf with him going winless in all of 2019. After racing in the back third two wide in the turn he started to run while moving towards the rail, but mid-stretch was herded behind other runners by Moran on Follow My Lead while being full of run, was never asked by the rider for any kind of run.
