Gulfstream Synthetic Surface
Ive been playing Kee, Bel and Aqu and usually move to Gulfstream once the Championship meet starts.
I wonder if any of you would be willing to share any observations or tendencies on the synthetic surface at Gulfstrem as I suspect they will toss in a few of those in multi race sequences. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Long term stats would be tough so far, track was crazy slow, then really fast. I'd look how it is playing short term personally.

Six carded tomorrow.
Ignore final times...........they're all over the place.
Good synthetic form is the best starting point.
Stormy Atlantic/Kitten's Joy always solid on the synthetic.

Agreed, look at synthetic form if there is any. I think once the Woodbine meet finishes quite a few horses might go south. The Gulfstream Tapeta is playing similar to their dirt course. You need to be on the lead or close to it. From what I've seen so far a few lengths of the lead after the first call is winning a lot unless there is a really fast pace.

Here are the past 4 racing days Bias notes for the All-Weather at GP
11/18 All-Weather Sprints were favouring Front Runners
11/19 No biases
11/20 All-Weather Sprints favouring Front Runners; Routes Stalkers
11/21 All-Weather Sprints were favouring Front Runners
All-Weather Sprints look for Front Runners and middle posts
All-Weather Routes look for Stalkers and middle posts

Most days there are only a couple of each, sprints and routes, hard to split them up and have any faith there is some kind of bias.

That’s true CJ
This is just from 4 days so you have to be cautious on playing AW for now at Gulfstream

When a track runs on a new surface, I keep track of the times.
These are the times through 11/21.
There were 21 5f races. Fastest 57.1/Slowest 1:01.4/Average 58.4
There were 42 5.5f races. Fastest 1:03.2/Slowest 1:08.2/Average 1:06.0
There were 58 1/70 races. Fastest 1:41.2/Slowest 1:48.0/Average 1:44.2
There were 30 1/16 races. Fastest 1:44.1/Slowest 1:49.1/Average 1:46.4
There were 4 9f races. Two were 1:55.0, two were 1:55.1
As CJ wrote, the times got faster as the track settled or firmed up. The fastest times were during the last two weeks. Because of this I'm adding one full second to the fastest times for my handicapping.
Thus, my pars are 58.1, 1:04.2, 1:42,2, and 1:45.1
I use Dave's par books and I will make the sprints 2 ticks slower than the dirt sprints, and 4 ticks lower than the 1/16 dirt races. Unless I find I need to make further adjustments.
******************************
Dave, I used to purchase Jim Bailes (Bayles) par books. One thing he did I found useful is he put the total races of each distance for each rating as I did above.
If I remember his headings looked like this--
1/16(67) 1 18(43) 1 1/36(4)
----------- ---------- -------

Gulfstream can take their Tapeta and shove it up their A&$ES the game was almost impossible as it was now we have to add Tapeta into our handicapping,at least one Ortiz is staying in NY 😂🤣 so someone else has to ride one of the 2 or 3 Chad Browns in the same race ,game is a joke.

When the going gets tough.
Pass all synthetic races at GP, if you find them inscrutable.
Same as all races and surfaces.
There are plenty of dirt and turf races at other tracks.

However-------horses show up at other tracks we handicap with pacelines from Gulfstream.
I don't play bull rings, but I have handicap using pacelines from Delta and Fonner.
And now we'll have their new turf course to deal with.
We'll have to ask ourselves, how does this grass compare to the green painted dirt course?
