crickets in the 2 separate threads about brobergs wife, very telling about what the gambling community here thinks of this guy.
SRU, I don't know about you, or anyone else here..but I was a human capable of concern and care, for others, long before I was a gambler.

So because nobody posted those things that accomplish nothing it is some kind of indictment of the trainer? Come on.
This is not coming out well. Cj, well wishes and condolences DO accomplish something. Your brother recently benefited from them. When we ignore others, we harm them. What Mr.Broberg does for a living has nothing to do with this tragedy. Four small children are without their 30 year old mother now. I feel sorrow for this family.

I apologize in advance if I've pissed you gentlemen off.

SRU was trolling/being a moron and acted like no one commented on Broberg's wife falling off a cruise ship because we think he's a crooked trainer. CJ rightly pointed out that this was moronic. In reality I doubt most of us knew the woman was Broberg's wife, and if we did a thread bashing the man as a criminal would not have been the place to express condolences about what happened. The end.

No, I'm sorry, not the end.

Most do know who this woman was. This story didn't land on CNN, network nightly newscasts, or the front page of the New York Times. It was released by, industry trades, The Paulick Report, DRF, Thoroughbred Daily News, etc, and, of course, where most get their current news, Twitter. To assume in reality that people didn't realize she was Mr.Broberg's wife is close to unimaginable. Either way you look at it, it is a tragedy.

You are right, that didn't come out properly. My point was the guy or his family doesn't post here that I know of, so that it wouldn't be seen. That was all. It certainly doesn't do any harm.

Frankly, I was irritated with SRU's stupid post to be honest. He's worn me down to the point I rarely even want to come here any longer.

I didn't know before to have made a post, so you're wrong if you think we all knew and shouldve expressed condolences. Maybe you knew, but you didn't post condolences either.

The story is all over the internet, sorry you missed it. I stated I felt sorrow for this family, the four children who've lost their mother. I didn't tell you to express condolences. I didn't tell you to do squat.

I see why people are leaving this place. smh

Well wishes and condolences help if they reach the people who need them. im pretty sure Broberg and family are a little too busy right now to be checking in here (no offense PA).

I don't think it says anything about gamblers that no one posted and I don't think there is anything wrong with NOT saying anything. We're all human. Even the worst of us can understand this is a human and human lives are involved here. Some just don't feel the need to post condolences in a thread the involved parties are likely not going to read.

There is nothing wrong with that

Well wishes or not, fine either way; solely up to members of this site.

However, this thread has been here for almost one year.

Not ANYONE at this website has any way of knowing if Mr.Broberg has read this thread, or if he has not. It is highly possible that he has with the fact understood, yes, there's a horrible tragedy in his life and he certainly might be busy at this point.

People in the industry often read here, and when they do, PA, certainly doesn't reveal them! Too, he doesn't always know they are here unless the person identifies themselves and addresses a post.

SRU's comment was really unfortunate, his belief that everyone, everything, every nuance of life, is fair game is not a good one.

i don't believe that everything posted at PA is for the benefit of the parties being posted about. The two other Broberg posts that weren't about him were posted as original posts by someone else, i'm pretty sure they didn't post those newsflashes for the benefit of Broberg or his family, so i'm not sure what you're trying to convey, plenty of posts here are about people who have never heard of PA.

Is it really that easy to fall over a rail into the water? I would think they would have netting below the rail to catch someone who fell. It's no secret that people get drunk and do stupid things.

It is not easy to fall off a cruise ship, but it does happen like 40 times a year.
