WTF was Smith thinking? Regardless Orb was the best and will probably win the Triple Crown.

That did not go well. Not sure if Verrazano did not like the track or the distance or both, but he did not like something. Orb was a deserving winner.

Agree - insane pace. Horse must have been uncontrollable. Smith is too good to have meant to do that.

My Diamond System picked ORB. I picked him 2nd and went for the better price of Itsmyluckyday, who the system picked 2nd. I'm happy for Shug, great trainer, and Rosario is THE best rider in the sport. As for ORB, it all comes down to the horse.

In the other thread where I agreed with Rex about a fast pace, I was tempted to post the numbers I came up with for the half and 3/4 time...they were practically dead-on, but I would have been laughed out of the room.
Too bad I can't predict winners like I can predict times...

I'm in the large crowd of guys holding nice Exacta tickets on ORB with Normandy/ ORB with Revolutionary .... only to have the longshot beat me for Place at the wire
