This Pick 4 ending in the Preakness is on the way to paying nothing if a longshot doesn't happen now.

this sucks
I'm hoping my pick-6 loses and my pick-3 hedges win

Sometimes it really does pay to just box 'em. $120 for the superfecta paid $228; superhighfive would have cost me $120 for $501.90

Race 12
Well, this may be a mistake but I really don't like Asmussen's here. Nice stalker but has no kick in anything over a mile....Sunland more his speed.
w/
but given last race, maybe i should take my own advice and box 'em or switch the order. Will watch the post parade (which is *forever and a day from now*) and take my retriever for a walk.

Ax Man looks like the next Baffert superhorse...
Something I don't like about his stride nor his finishing kick, but I fully expect him to be 5 lengths best here.
I have 261011 as backups. Prince Lucky could be a 'sleeper'. I thought he was interesting in Sunland Derby but didn't run a step. Laid off, mediocre works and gelded since. Have to hope if Ax Man misfires, Prince Lucky inherits a forward position and runs big.

Would love to be able to bet against here, but I agree, looks to be the best. Might try and see if the and/or can close into it, but not sure they can stay close enough to be contenders late. Depends when they make their move and how fast Ax runs the half in

Hopefully Smith captures the double with Ax an Justify then I will have hit my first Pick6 at a cost of about $5. I don't care if it only pays $20. I have only come as close of 5/6, granted I don't play them all that often.
