Impeach him before he gets us into a nuclear war or insults the NK leader about size of buttons.

This is good news.
However, I can't help but feel all this going on with N. Korea is EXACTLY what ol' Kim wants. He's now being treated as a BIG BOY on the BIG STAGE.
He's leveraged his nuclear weapons program into becoming a major player and is now set to meet with the POTUS.
He is now, for all intents and purposes, being taken seriously, which is what he's always wanted, no?
Kim's plan has worked to perfection as far as I can tell.

The Kim's are very very good at the game.
Time will tell but he is stockpiling an awful lot of goodwill capital.

Kim already has nuclear weapons. Kim already has a working ballistic missile delivery system. Kim already exports weapons and terrorism to fund his enterprise. What's his game?

Simple... he trades all or some of those for integration into the global economy on terms that allow him to sustain his regime...
Kinda like... DING!... you guessed it... Iran... wait... no not anymore.
Trumpbots will laud it as the greatest deal ever and shower in all the #MAGA.

That makes no sense whatsoever. He can already do that without a deal through countries like Iran and organizations like ISIS.

What are you talking about?
He can integrate into the global economy through Iran and ISIS?
No, he is going to trade his weapons program and allow on the ground inspections for fewer sanctions, foreign investment, integration into the global economy so his regime doesn't collapse.
Iran and ISIS have nothing to do with that.

His short game is to minimize if not eliminate the role and influence of the US in South Korea. His long game is reunification of the Koreas. "Long" in Asia can mean a generation or two, as opposed to the US, where "short" means the 2018 election and "long" means the 2020 election.
For all of the North's bluster about nukes with delivery systems capable of hitting the US, their only serious goal was the ability to target South Korea. He is using the carrot and the stick approach. He now has the stick, nukes, and is applying the carrot, playing Mr. Nice Guy.

Just like Iran he is going to trade some of his arsenal for $$$.
That's all this ever boils down to. Nuclear weapons are great bargaining chips for weak states seeking legitimacy and prestige.
These countries have zero interest in ever using these weapons. They aren't suicidal. The outcome is already promised... use them and your country is glassed. But make them... and agree not to make them anymore... or any variation of that... and you've got something to trade.

These three were accused of far worse acts than Otto Warmbier, yet are released in what is being described as " good condition". What's up there?
