I'll be darned....

I actually agree with Vic on his suggestion of having a proxy onsite. Though I see some logistical holes in it with the emails and monitoring.

I don't see why a daily 18 selection contest couldn't be held on horseplayers.com, for remote players. 8 mandatory and 10 optional, with all applicable tracks. Might take some robust and quick coding for the HP staff, but I do believe there have been two track, 25 race contests in the past online.

There are some security issues and some collusion and "team" play factors that certainly don't make this a slam dunk, but if the NTRA/NHC thinks that has been completely eliminated with an onsite format....ugh, well....no.

Your first post in the thread was sent out on my email blast and I think it was very well received. You've done a great job in advancing our position.

Got a very nice email from Michelle Ravencraft. They are granting a handful of waivers.

Sent this to my blast which the NTRA officials are on.

If I were to go I'd have to wear the mask under my nose in the tournament room and in the casino. I could make my wagers and go back up in the room but I would lose the ability to adjust my wagers real time based on the current odds and the visuals of the horses running. I think the NTRA is in a tough spot and I greatly appreciate this accommodation. I have not made a decision yet but am leaning heavily toward a waiver.

And just want everyone to know that I appreciate the work the NTRA does particularly in the area of taxation of gambling winnings. I will continue to play in their tournaments and my membership renewal is on Auto renewal.

We never quit,

A

Wait, people in racing actually take Andy seriously?

No wonder this industry never fails to disappoint me.

Replay: I am qualified for the event that is scheduled to occur in August. That's the eleventh time I've qualified, including a couple of double years.

And you?

I have multiple pieces of players who are hesitant in going to Bally's next month...I sat out last year, for the first time.

They didn't....I did not try to qualify last year knowing it was DOA as far as holding a LIVE event.
