I didn't update Firefox because the newer versions don't support Java. Java is still used with many weather radar systems and a host of other stuff.
I'm sure I'm missing something they've switched too because many other browsers don't support it anymore either, including chrome.

Java is used these days on almost every web page (including this one). It's the preferred programming syntax.
