Another EV Spontaneously Self-Destructs!

This is the second EV in the last few months to self-combust. I wrote about one in a town near me, and that one, too, was a bear to put out.

But rest assured, the battery technology will be tamed and conquered by the time EVs become law of the land.

Another thing we can be certain of is that all happy and giddy EV owners who have owner's insurance will experience a very big increase in their premiums. But that's OK because they're chalk that up as, yet, another cost to saving the planet.

Here's a timely article...about water shortage. So...these self-destructin' EVs aren't very friendly to the environment either, most especially to water resources.

They are going to have to do an expensive redesign where ventilation to the battery system is cut off during a fire so it gets oxygen starved.

Which in turn will drive up the cost of EVs. Cute.

And this kind of fix doesn't get to the root cause of the problem, which means when a car decides to self-combust, there's still going to be damage that will need repairing. More costs to the owners.
