Poor little Oakland…..no burgers for you

In and Out………is outta here!

https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2024/01...burger-n606641

“ In-N-Out Burger’s only location in Oakland is closing after the cherished fast-food joint decided it could no longer risk the safety of fed-up workers and patrons in the city plagued by recent crime.

The location will shut its doors in March — despite the burger spot turning a profit — because of the constant crime in the community, In-N-Out Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick said in a sudden announcement over the weekend.

The fast food joint has been in the California city for 18 years.”

Dickless or mostly etc can't use the same lame excuse they did in the sports illustrated thread. Can't wait for the excuse here

In-n-Out burgers suck.

And their fries are worse.

All these health nuts are ruining good food.

I say good riddance to all of them.

they mentioned crime, but I wonder if the homeless and local rules about what they can do about it was involved

When I lived in Arcadia I was within walking distance of an In-N-Out. Fast food burgers do not get any better. California was a good place to live in those days.

TJ Dave's opinion on In-N-Out is definitely in the minority. Pretty much everyone I knew that flew in from out of state when I lived in the Inland Empire, would quickly say "when are we going to In-N-Out?"

I went to a wedding near Sacramento last summer and tried my first In-N-Out burger. I did not like the fries and the burger was not as good as what I get at
Carl's Jr.

I admit that a lot of people don't like the fries, including myself. As for Carl's which is Hardee's on the East Coast what I have found and also with Burger King is the quality is inconsistent. In-N-Out is the same with all items every visit. Other than In-N-Out another one I miss living in Virginia is Jack in a Box.
I fondly remember talking in the clown head in the drive thru as a kid.

Yet, they did survive for 18 years and make a profit to boot. It seems a few people disagree with you. Maybe there was really a crime problem in one of liberal's little meccas as the story says.

But you couldn't resist attacking the burgers.
Interesting.

Priorities. To me good food is way more important than crime. I’d go deep in the hood for some fried catfish and sweet potato pie.

I’ll bet if it was Popeyes they wouldn’t be closing. ;-)

Best bet for a good burger is a mom and pop shop. And if you haven’t tasted fries cooked in lard you’re missing a treat. McDonald’s used to cook ‘em that way. Stopped over 20 years ago. All the chains now use veggie oil. Horrible stuff.

There’s a burger place in Memphis that’s used the same grease for over a century. They strain and filter it everyday…Dyer’s. Damn good burger and fries.
