If you effectively purge one branch of government out of self-preservation what else is it but a dictatorship?
It's certainly not a presidency.

It depends on who does it.

Cohen's public comments thus far are talking enough to warrant this stuff. The man truly is an idiot. Stevie Wonder could connect those dots. If he is brought in Trump is leveraged and compromised.
Why else would he meltdown like this?

If they are looking for the illegal Campaign contribution, they don’t need the warrant. The guy has admitted he paid her. Nothing to search for.
The media says he committed bank fraud to pay for it.
Either way they violated attorney client privilege. Just my opine....

So basically he will say. You work for me, committ any crime you want, I will pardon you.
Federal election laws?
Bank and wire fraud?
They are meaningless crimes.

If he used a bank loan, then he only committed bank fraud if he lied to the bank about why he needed a loan. Sometimes they do not ask. If he had a HELOC (home equity line of credit), then he wasn't asked any questions, and therefore did nothing wrong. I would imagine at his pay rate that he handles all important conversations like this with his clientele off the record for just such an occasion.
Of course, they'll get him for something he's done. Each of us commits a crime every day without knowledge. At least he has a friend with a pardon pen.

How can it violate attorney client privilege when Cohen himself said he never talked to Trump about the settlement.
And its not the media who signed off on the search warrant a judge did.
Its not the media's fault that Cohen stuff got seized.
He, himself alone, took out a line of credit against his house, The media did not
He, himself alone, Created a Delaware LLC to ease the payment of hush money to stormy daniels. The media did not.
He, himself alone, signed the NDA. The media did not.
and finally he, himself alone self admittedly paid a porn star hush money to help a good friend. The media did not
you are blaming the messenger, when the person who did all this stuff gets a pass.

Gee, you must be thinking about Billy Boy's "chance" meeting on the tarmack, just before Comey looked the other way on Hillary.
And of course the entire Clinton family history.

I can't imagine Cohen having to go to the bank for 130K aside from his own checking account.
