Kentucky Downs Class
If Santa Anita is a 10 on Class Chart what number is KD? My track Class chart doesn't list it. Thanks...

I would call it equal to KEE myself.

Kentucky Downs
I like both Kentucky Downs and Ellis Park in Kentucky.
KD has large fields and purses, but only runs 5 days a year. Hard for me to figure out those 5 days only and it stays in business.
They do have those historical racing machines - most of us would call them slot machines and a casino - but they are not. Plus, they are about 40 miles from Nashville, TN.

If your chart is based on purses, KD has inflated purses relative to quality. It's hard for me to put that on any kind of scale because KD is not a very long meet.

I actually think the quality is really good personally. Maybe not to the level of the purses, but not overstated like statebreds in my opinion.

I'm up-voting KD races on class, field size. My angle is Turns. I'm trying to use CJ's sectional figures, and come up with a turn convention.
Look at how much of a KD race is spent where the horse is not squared off.

Sure, the racing is fine, but some of the Maiden and ALW purses are hysterical. I wish it was a long meet and I could get stalls there.

no one gets stalls there, you must ship in and they will pay you to ship. At least they did last year not sure if that was the case this past meet

Lefty,
I stumbled on this today - page 16 breaks tracks into 5 class levels.
Might be some help for you.
Happy New Year!

FWIW:
The outside played strong @ KD this year.
Real strong.
