Looks like they hit the 2-1 DD at post. Two longest shots will return $2.80 in the DD pool. Good job boys.

Well, it looks like they put $1000 on the 1-2 combo, and drove the possible payout down to $3, as the total pool was under $2500.

Chalk won the first leg.....4-5, and the lowest probable now on the DD (7 horses in leg 2) is $45-$50

If you are the track are you happy about this? Your regular players are getting a bonus and the bookies are getting beaten.

Nice DD first leg $3.80, second leg $ 20.00 = $167.80. Nice parlay. Joke Joke Joke. And people wonder why the "sport" has a black eye.

Stuff like this has been going on and off for ages. But bookies aren't dumb. They'll fugure it out sooner rather than later and either cut the max wager accepted way down or will cut off the client altogether. Pool manipulation is chapter 2 of "Bookmaking 101." Chapter 1, of course, is making sure you have a way to collect when you extend credit.

what a whores game, when the phone is answered by a bookmaker the people talking to each other are trying to get their money.

having been in the desert for years i have seen it all, pastposting racebooks, manipulating sporting event lines, poker games not on the level, roulettette wheels with a big bias, shoes of baccarat that someone knows the cards that are coming out before they leave the shoe, pad rollers on the dice tables, teams of cardcounters, even guys that know how to cheat slot machines.

Back to my question, what do the tracks think about this? Are they happy or not?
