It's looking really bad for Johnson now and I don't see how he can last. Not only did he lose his number 2 yesterday lot's of other ministers and junior members of the government have resigned today. I understand that it is over 30 now. Also, today a delegation of Johnsons ministers who haven't stepped down are now believed to have approached him to tell him he should resign.
His own party are now scared stiff he has become an electoral liability. Last week the Conservatives lost two by elections including one where they had a majority of 25,000, one of their safest seats.
This is all a consequence of Johnsons continued lies. The latest being over a sex scandal where he promoted an MP to the whips office after he was warned there had been a number of allegations about his behaviour. Johnson denied that he knew this but it has now been proven that he was made aware. Last week it also came out that a colleague walked in on him before he became prime minister and caught his mistress (now wife) performing a sex act on him. He has then been accused of trying to get her a high paying job in government paid for by the tax payer. There are a whole string of allegations against him and his corruption and lies.
An opinion poll today has now shown that 70% of the public want him to resign. Even 54% of conservative voters want him gone.
It's got to be over for him. He will try and cling on but the sooner the corrupt, lying, narcissist goes the better.

This sounds like a really familiar story....hmmmm.....where have I heard one like it before?
It's amazing what liberals can do all over the world when they put their minds to it...yet conservatives are never quite so clever to achieve anything concrete except some memes...
Good on ya snappy!

In one paragraph you've nicely summed up your own complete ignorance and shown you know absolutely nothing about the situation

Actually, you don't seem to know very much about the situation, now do you?
Boris Johnson did not "resign" as U.K.'s Prime Minister yesterday. He resigned as leader of the Conservative Party. Remember, yesterday he also said he'll remain as PM until the Tories select another person to lead them.
If Boris Johnson had actually "resigned" as UK's Prime Minister, he would have gone to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, and resigned. The PM of the U.K. serves for the Monarchy and he/she is chosen by the ruling elected political party.
The Tories could choose someone by the end of night to lead them but until Boris literally offers his resignation to the Queen, he's still the PM.

Of course your post may have some merit if I had actually said anywhere that Johnson had resigned either as party leader or PM. Kindly point out where I said that. My post was made well before he got up on the podium to announce he was going. It was made while he was desperately trying to get support to cling on and all his government & cabinet colleagues were handing in their resignations or calling for him to resign.
And to correct your post he has not even resigned as party leader yet. He didn't use the word resign anywhere in his speech, what he actually said was
“It is clearly now the will of the Parliamentary Conservative party that there should be a new leader of that party and therefore a new prime minister.
“And I’ve agreed with Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of our back bench MPs, that the process of choosing that new leader should begin now.
“The timetable will be announced next week and I’ve today appointed a Cabinet to serve, as I will, until a new leader is in place."
Please don't try and lecture me on how the political system of my country works.

Johnson has only ever put himself first in anything he has done. He ran for leader on a pro Brexit platform which he did solely as an opportunistic effort to be party leader. Brexit wasn't a country first platform as being a member of the EU was clearly far better for the country. Brexit hasn't been done as he keeps saying, in fact he has made a complete hash of it. It has been a disaster for us.

If you had actually been following it as you say you would know that most of the scandals are not reported stories but facts. This includes the fact that he is the only sitting PM to have been fined by the police for breaking his own laws.
