Maybe Stalin was sharing his wonderful wisdom for the sake of like-minded comrades around the world so that they would understand how to create the illusion of democracy to the people. But regardless if he said it or not, since you think you're so smart and all non-progressives are so stupid, my point remains that this kind of thinking is all the incentive needed for dimwits to cheat on elections, since obviously "stupid" folks cannot be trusted to do the intelligent and right thing at the ballot box.
You should peruse the quotes in the above link. I know you'll love just about all of Stalin's "pearls of wisdom". You know....birds of a feather and all that good stuff.... Here's a few I know you'll love:
Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.
And,
The press must grow day in and day out - it is our Party's sharpest and most powerful weapon.
And,
Political power does not rest with those who cast votes; political power rests with those who count votes.

And that's the way you would like it to be here.

Exactly. How could 40% of America still approve of an incompetent President with early stage senility.

Collectivist-an adherent of the practice or principle of giving a group priority over each individual in it.
Best answer I can come up with.

most of the polls have a +30% democrat factor plugged in, so the polls have just about bottomed out

They keep calling an ever growing list of liberal voters and ask slanted questions. Even with the vast majority of Democrat polled. Joe's numbers sink. The Briben Administration is political quicksand. Joe's handlers know he's a lame duck. Expect to see more and more radical batshit craziness come out... like supporting sexual reassignment surgery for minor children... who just last week wanted to grow up and be a fireman but now what's to be a weatherman. But Joe Briben Administration's stance is to allow school teacher and gender studies consoles to administer hormone blockers with their mid-day milk and gramcrackers. God Help Us.

i always to try to weigh both sides of the coin and tend to give the president the benefit of the doubt. in the 15 months in office, i really haven't seen that much where this administration is doing anything but dumb things. i thought Trump was pretty bad, but this guy made things twice as bad. Trump gave away $1200 and the recipient paid taxes, this guy gave away $2000 no taxes.. Trump led the league in creating government jobs, this guy is giving away more especially for IRS employees. Trump increased the debt $3 trillion, this guy is already at $5 trillion with maybe 2 1/2 years left. this guy shut down the country with mask and vaccine requirements and gave away the vaccine for free. Trump only let the good immigrants through the borders and tried to seal them against the bad ones. this guy has done the opposite from Trump, stopping the workers from coming through and letting the bad ones infest this place. probably 1 out of every 5 are bad ones. i am not knocking him for his foreign policy so far because he has nothing to do with it, but he says some dumb things.
the thing with a hike in taxes for the very rich people is extremely dumb. i totally agree that these people get all the benefits and don't pay their fair share. but he shouldn't be trying to steal their money while they are alive, he should have gone after it when they die and can't complain. because of this, his party will get massacred in the midterm elections like no other before.

An IRS employee who was laid off for a time came to work with us in NH. Some of the examples that he gave suggested the whole country was in trouble if Hillary was elected and there was no way it was going to happen.

You plainly contradict yourself. You say that "Trump was pretty bad" and then go on to list many of the good things that he did. It must be that you have had a change of heart...like millions of others!

It really takes a very special type who wants more out for him as as opposed to becoming a king maker. Trump One just sitting there one engine disabled, I would like to see more activity that suggests a run. Later I will run something by you offline to see your opinion.

i have said this before, in this century we started with a non-leader, then went to a worse one, and then we got one even worse than the prior one, and now we have this trainwreck. In other words, the chart has been pointing downwards for the last 22 years.
when Trump ran i was very excited, as it turns out. to me, he was worse than his predecessors just by allowing the divisiveness to go on while he was in office. i don't think that will ever be cured and is a very potential downfall of a great country.
