Small world. Good story....
I'm not sure how much of an upset it will be, but I think Erie is going to beat the Spits tomorrow night. At the WJC I thought Chabot looked like the next coming of Orr. He played well in the Memorial Cup but nothing like he did in the WJC.

That game was all the bad stuff about the NHL in one swoop.

CJ, agreed not the greatest game one especially for a Stanley Cup Final. Would you rather the NHL take as much time off as the NBA does? I'll pass on that. Then NHL will have two games in before the NBA has one. For me that counts. There's a lot of things about hoops that drive me nuts. I can't even watch anymore. Used to love it, now it's become unwatchable to me. I realize I'm in the minority most people love the NBA and don't like hockey. I'm ok with that.

The offside replays have to end.
Let the linesmen call offsides.
If they get them wrong, so be it.

They didn't overturn the Rangers vs Ottawa offsides by Ottawa and that was much more evident but the one last night changed the outcome of the game and was a bad call.

I’m fine with the offside replays, they just need to end the nonsense about the skate being on the ice, that was a horseshit call last night, that was a goal.
What difference does it make if your skate is on the ice or in the air? You’re still standing in the same spot, f-me, he was straddling the line last night.
If they change the rule so that you need to have one foot in the blue paint, whether it’s on the ice or in the air, you would have 60% less challenges, and not kill the pace of play.

The NBA break is ridiculous. The hard set the Finals dates every year for some unknown reason.
I don't think the lack of a break had much to do with the game last night. It was horrible, the refs were horrible, and Peka Rinne was beyond horrible.
