You mean the lunatic right wing tin foil hat conspiracy theorists like Faux Noos/PA off topic TRUMPIAN echo chamber inhabitants, finding scary ghosts under their beds, spinning ridiculous absurd stories.
Maybe we should call the COVID-19 virus the "Pizzagate virus? Or the "Aliens-in-our-Garage" virus?

Is this rational or hysteria? Poop in the street may be a better reason for S of E.

I wonder about that too, a catastrophe waiting to happen. If not this some other disease will, only a matter of time. IMO

The homeless are a hearty bunch. If the regular flu hasn't decimated their population every winter, this virus won't do much either.
You heard it here first.

Dan,
I'm not sure what was wrong with anything he said there.
1. It's 100% true that it's difficult to know the denominator in the death rate statistics. A LOT of cases are very mild, those people don't get tested, they get better, and never become part of the data.
I've read that repeatedly from the highest level experts that they don't know the true mortality rate yet because of that.
It's also true that the vast majority of the deaths are old and very sick people that do go to hospitals and get tested, which is not to minimize their loss, but it suggests that lots of young healthier people will get sick, get better, and never get reported. I have seen the current data on the risks by and age prior health. If you are young and healthy, the risks are very low.
2. After he originally called it "corona flu", he immediately said "or corona virus".
3. He never said it was "OK" to go to work if you tested positive. He said some people with mild cases don't even know they have it and go about their business and even go to work without knowing it and then get better. That was all to suggest that we don't have accurate data yet.
There was nothing irresponsible about any of his comments.
It was factual commentary about the death rate and an effort to minimize panic.

I wonder how many of us on this board qualify under this requirement.

Yeah, but it's TRUMP, so anything and everything he does or says is automatically WRONG and deserving of ridicule and mockery by our vast population of MENSA Twitter superstars and those who lap at their trough of wisdom.

Good point. But winter? They would move if it were a real winter.
