Predicting Total Pick 6 Pool $

This is for all you "databasers" out there...

I was wondering if anyone has done research into the variations in Pick 6 pool size. What I am looking for is some kind of mathematical curve fit that would estimate total Pick 6 pool size as a function of say, $carryover, the day of the week and racing circuit. Those three variables stand out in my mind as being most predictive but maybe there are others as well.

Any help or insights would be appreciated.

Not from any database, but @NYRA you can count on pool being 4X the carryover.

Re: huge score made by Carribean bettor on Sunday's NYRA P6...his ticket as described by drf looked like method described in Quinn's book; he had two "separators" and went deep enough to "cover" in all the other races; of course his wasn't truly the "lean ticket" approach described in the book as he had three other tickets, each in the $1,500 range.
