It was a toss up on who to pick in the first slot in race 2 between the 7 and 3. I bet them both. Both were 15-1 ML odds. The 3 was an Officer runner and showed a little early speed in last from the 10 post.. The 7 just put in a bullet work with blinkers on..At 16-1 odds the 3 was definitely the top value play..An easy Daily Double to say the least..
In race 3 I wanted to go against the 5 but didn't pull the trigger. A nice paying trifecta box with the 2/5 favorite third..
In race 4 I knew the Stroll/Pulpit runner would go for the lead. At those big odds, it was worth a shot..Competitive up until the 6 furlong mark..
In race 5 I did make a win bet on the 3 and 5. The 1A was scratched. The 3 finishes 2nd at 62-1..Average winning distance from the sire Eddington is 5.7 furlongs. The field was weak and at 62-1 a definite value play. Too bad I didn't put in a place bet..What was I thinking?
In race 6 my top pick gets beat by a head late..Had the exacta box.
Race 7..Huge Class advantage favorite wins at $3.80
Race 8..The Elusive Quality runner stretches out and runs a turtle like pace and holds off the favorite at a good price.
Race 9..The 1A goes by the 4 down the stretch but the 4 comes back to nip him late..Geez!!! Still had the exacta box.
A 2-1 and 7-1 get nipped at the wire.
A 16-1 could of been my top pick easily.
A 62-1 runs 2nd..
TLG wins the day by a dime by playing ML odds horses of 6-1 or less. Keep it up. LOL!!!

I do appreciate your selective whining, I really do, so please keep it up. However, this tidbit was just too juicy to pass up.
Eddington's foals have an average winning distance of 5.7 furlongs? Now there's a good stat to take to the bank.
He's a first year sire....the average distance of the races his horses have competed in up to this point is probably less than 6F. No shit he has an average winning distance that low. I'm sure plodding distance horse Eddington will prove a champion sprint sire over time. I guess sample sizes aren't of much relevance to you. Why should they be.
Too funny.

Oh Mr. TLG wants to talk pedigree. The guy who never picks first time starters..Eddington runners are 4 for 4 in this race type for your information and the 5.7 AWD tells me he has a shot of getting to the lead against this weak ass field. You think all sires offspring are under 6 furlongs for an average winning distance in their first crop. Think again..Many don't run the 2.5 to 5.5 furlong races. Let's look at race 2..Who has the lowest AWD in that race Mr. Serling..Who, again what was that? You don't have a clue do you..The 1's Pollard Vision runners AWD is 6.1 furlongs..The 3's Officer runners have a AWD of 6.2 furlongs. The 7 comes in 3rd at 6.3 furlongs..The 3 wins it at 16-1..I noticed you picked all three runners in the 5th who had been out 3 to 5x. That's going out on a limb. Let's keep betting losing horses who keep dropping and get over bet at 5/2..Now that's lookin for value. Yeah I know. You got lucky with the 6 in that race..But your long term lazy ass way of betting maidens won't get it done..So keep it up.

By the way, if this sire stuff is so potent, how come you picked the horse third?
Why don't you give us all the brilliant sire stuff that worked so well for your second choice, who you scratched into, that hasn't finished yet?
You are resulting for a horse that you didn't even like.

How about that 18-1 shot Not for Love runner the other day against that bridge jumper horse..Did you even bet the show pool in that race TLG..Probably not..You picked the over bet horse coming off a layoff.
Since your in the mood to talk maidens. There's 3 maiden races for Thursday. Let's here your no it all advice in these races. Type away Little Guy. There's no trips or traps on the firsters. So you might as well just throw them out completely..

EDIT: I'VE STATED MULTIPLE TIMES THAT I PREFER THAT NOBODY POST IN THIS THREAD OTHER THAN MYSELF, TLG, CMOORE, OR MY OTHER MODERATORS (CJ & BillW).
If you want to comment on what's going on here, start another thread.
The reason I don't want commentary from outsiders in this thread is because it will make it that much more difficult to go back and find the proper selections when it comes time to score.
But again, you're free to start a separate thread for commentary.
