iPad Pro users

I have a first edition 12.9 inch iPad Pro. The first Pro they made.

Apple is offering me $250 trade on it for the purchase of a new 12.9 inch latest version iPad Pro.

Anybody upgrade recently? Opinions?

My current iPad works fine. No scratches ...almost new.

I use it about 6-8 hours a day.

I would gladly pay you the same amount for it...

Depending on memory.

I have the 12.9" iPad Pro bought specifically for reading and marking up PPs. My take is this.

If you use the Apple Pencil (I use to mark up my PPs) you will also have to replace that as the old Pencil is not compatible with the new iPad, so tack on another $120 or so to your cost.

The new version is only slightly "better" and you won't see much difference unless you play a lot of games on it. One improvement was in the edges, it's easier to hold without any case or covering on it. I have a protective cover on mine which mitigates the problem on the old one.

If you are happy with what you have I would wait until Apple puts out a version with a USB-C connector as that seems to be becoming the universal charging/connecting cable standard.
