American league east

this is developing into quite a year for both the Red Sox and Yankees.

they are probably the 2 best teams, quite evenly matched, and hate each other with a passion.

both teams got great pitchers, great fielders, good hitters and play very smart ball.

I like the Astros over either of them. We have an amazing group of starters. Quality hitting, just need to pick up bullpen help before Aug. deadline. Middle relief is awful.

I hope the Yankees lose the AL East by one game. They can blame sucker punch Sanchez. I realize he's not 100% but he dogged it yesterday early and late. Having a guy score on a wild pitch/past ball from second base? HAHAHA. Then his last out of the game. Yeah, he's on the DL now, but he dogged it. Couldn't happen to a better guy who has a history of not hustling when he's healthy.

Based on head to head(yanks 5-2 vs Astros Red Sox 2-2 vs Astros) it doesnt look good for Astros vs Yanks, but like you said Astros are in need of a bullpen period.

The Indians are lurking....just under the radar. They already basically have their division wrapped up. They added Hand for their bullpen. No reason they couldn't get back to the WS.

Players continue to exit AL teams to the NL. Machado was the big one, but now we've seen Dozier also go to the Dodgers, Chris Archer to the Pirates, and Wigberto Ramos to the Phillies. Hamels went to the Cubs last week.

I love me some Red Sox. Man-o-man, what a year. . Historic year could be one the greatest all times.

If the Sox play 500 ball the rest of the way, they'll still win 104 games.

I worked at Fenway as a kid. 1974-1978. My Father was friends with Joe Mooney, long time director of field and grounds at Fenway. They were actually race track and drinking buddys.

The AL West has become a much more interesting division. Houston is coming back to the pack, and Oakland is looking like a very viable threat, while Seattle just swept the defending champs 4 straight in Houston.

I was dead wrong about the Red Sox changing Managers. They are on a mission. The Yankees have almost great fielding...….they need a freaking catcher!
