Per the latest local TV news in NYC (am visiting Manhattan at the moment), the current AQI forecast is for Friday and Saturday to return to the "moderate" (51-100) zone. I sure hope so for everyone's sake.

Here's a Paulick Report piece which discusses the HISA AQI guidelines - the "moderate" zone isn't implicated.

if they accepted donations, I doubt they would negotiate as low as 42 if they tried...

beautiful Glen Burnie Maryland is 160
Glen Bernie…..was my home for a few years. Actually Pasadena, on the water. I really miss those crab cakes……..

Hard to see it get the go ahead if other sporting events are cancelled. I could see the race being pushed back.

I live about 15 minutes from Belmont in Nassau County and the air quality seems to be getting worse

Saturday looks almost certain to be fine. And Friday lookin OK but not certain to be fine.

I wonder if there's any thought of running Friday's races on Sunday???

i spent about 90 minutes total between outdoors and indoors last evening.
Shirt I was wearing last night still has some feint smell of smoke even this morning. The area about my lawn smelled vaguely of a campground.

The price we're willing to pay in order to grill some good whole chicken thighs.

Wife's homemade scalloped potatoes and the cucumber salad stole the show.
