Welcome to our world of summertime.
California burns most every summer now, and chokes us with the smoke.
They also choke us with their refugees.
You know, those who are fleeing the tyranny and oppression of the California Way.
Despite it having destroyed their state, they still believe that CA is doing everything right.

When I lived in Palmdale I had an office on the 4th floor and used to watch the smoke roll in over the mountains …….you could taste the smoke for days

It all depends on the wind. Weather forecasters say today will be worst day in NY area. will improve Thursday and then be OK Friday.

this 72 hour smoke forecast link seems to show the smoke starting to move out on Friday, but not quite completely from Belmont by then
hopefully okay by Saturday, we will see, one to watch

I just went for a one block walk to get lunch and by the time I got back I could taste the smoke in my mouth. I can't recall ever seeing anything like this. I can't even imagine what's it's like up north.

the www.iqair.com site has elmont NY as a pristine ' 42' (fresh, the higher the worse), in contrast everything around it is 160+ to 170ish.
w/ most north of Belmont and/or east-coast cities near 170
if they accepted donations, I doubt they would negotiate as low as 42 if they tried...
beautiful Glen Burnie Maryland is 160
